This performance, “Reactivity and Communication,” was devised over two days of rehearsal. Production Designer Dan Daly brought in objects inspired by and/or related to movement. Actors explored these objects and, ultimately, "gifted" them to each other, making them the cornerstone of this speedy devising process. Performers "introduced" their objects to the art on the walls and created songs and monologues that began with the words "This is for you." The final production took the audience on a journey through the exhibition, inviting them to consider the space between our personal present and collective future. The exhibition, guest curated by ransome, explored the theme of “Movement” from multiple perspectives, including migration, immigration, place, political displacement, social change, isolation, and physical motion itself.
